October Pot Luck
Because of the debate on Tuesday, October 15th, the pot luck will be held on Wednesday, October 16th at 6:30 p.m. Our speaker will be Toni Carr, Executive Director of Global Ties Arkansas, formerly the Arkansas Council for International Visitors. Toni is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and has been an early childhood teacher, a school administrator, and a university professor. When Walter Nunn retired, Toni was hired as Executive Director after serving as a volunteer host for the organization. With her many talents, Toni Carr is the Director, programmer, proposals, logistics and organizational person. She and her husband have two daughters and two grandchildren and have traveled to 30 countries and all the continents except one. The purpose of Global Ties Arkansas is to unite emerging and existing leaders in networks of friendship and understanding, linking Arkansas and the world to help build a state that is thriving part of the global community. Arkansas has certainly been enriched by the visitors from around the world we have welcomed into our homes for many years. Please welcome Toni Carr! Bring a dish to share. Bread and drinks provided. All are welcome! |
